The Adventures of Rick and Paula
We like to travel and explore new cultures and meet new people. We believe that the more a person learns and understands different cultures, the more we learn to live with and love each other. We have been to many great places where people are happy to share themselves and their culture. Each place is very different from the United States and each place has wonderful people who can teach us. We have done some traveling around the United States and found wonderful generous people here also!
WHO ARE WE?
Rick is 63 and still in good physical condition except for an old back. Paula is 52 and in good physical condition. We both work at desk jobs in an office 4 days a week, so our best skills are driving computers. Excel 2003 is the hammer of choice for Rick. Word processing would be Paula's best tool. We do work out (karate) at the fitness center 2 or 3 times a week to make up for sitting all day at computers.
We are Christians and enjoy serving or sharing the Word in our spare time; we have worked on trail maintenance projects, collecting food and other supplies for the "Adopt a Family" program. We have cleaned homes (including windows) and done yard work for the elderly, served food to the homeless, helped build houses through Habitat for Humanity and we have put together AIDS care giver kits for Africa.
Some of our hobbies include karate, theater, hiking, biking, kayaking, music, reading; Rick is an avid photographer, Paula enjoys all sorts of needlecraft and gardening. We both enjoy exploring new recipes/foods as well as museums.
Blessings to all,
Rick and Paula Huls |
